Hong Kong with Jr
Jr was supposed to be with us throughout the whole stretch of our 4 day vacation (January 22-25) in Hong Kong to celebrate the Chinese New Year, but unfortunately that was cut down to just 2 days. The week before that was his midterm exam week, and by the time we depart for Hong Kong on the weekend after that, all his exams were supposed to be finished by then. But his classmates requested from their professor in tax review to move their exam to Tuesday (January 24) the following week instead. They did this without his knowledge. Consequently, we had to adjust Jr's booking. But when Mija tried to rebook via telephone call to PAL, they declined. So, we had to purchase another ticket for Jr for his trip from Hong Kong to Manila on the evening of Monday (January 23) which costed us another P10,000. We had no choice but to get the ticket, otherwise Jr would not be able to take his exam or on the alternative we had to forfeit his 2-way ticket.
Our January 22 flight was scheduled at 8 o'clock in the morning. We woke up at 4 o'clock and went to the airport at 5 o'clock. We arrived in Hong Kong at 10 o'clock and went straight at our hotel at Marco Polo Hong Kong at Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon. It was freezing cold in Hong Kong, the temperature that time was about 10C and it even went as low as 8C later that day.
Soon after disembarking our luggage at our room, we proceeded to the world's happiest place - Disneyland. I'm not sure how many times we have been to Disneyland, but the excitement we felt the first time we set foot there was the same degree of excitement we felt as we entered the place. This is how magical Disneyland is. We were so eager to try its newest phase - Toy Story Land. The very first ride we tried was the scariest of them, RC Loop. It was so scary I thought my heart stopped a beat or two on our first descent. Nevertheless, i really enjoyed it and I can't wait for our next visit and try it again. We also rode in my favorite ride of all, the Space Mountain, and lastly was Buzz Infinity and Beyond. After that we went back to our hotel called it a day.
